- You need to submit KYC documents as per the RBI guidelines. If the account is opened on the basis of simplified KYC norms, then the acc shall be treated as a ‘Small Account’.
- You cannot open any other savings bank deposit account in Indian Overseas Bank in this case. If you have an SB account in the bank, then you have to close it within 30 days from the opening of BSBDA account.

This account can be opened by individual customers. If you want to open a joint account with either or survivor, then you can do so. In case of joint account, the number of account holders can be only two. The aggregate of all credits in a FY (financial year) must not be over Rs. 1 lakh. The balance in the acc at any point of time should not go over Rs. 50,000. The aggregate of all transfers and withdrawals in a month should not go over Rs. 10,000.
