Residents of India and NRIs can apply for this document. The objective of Aadhaar is to equip citizens with a unique identity and a digital platform. This aims to authenticate demographic and biometric information of the card holder. The government has taken efforts to make it easier for everyone and anyone to apply for Aadhaar.
